Here is my most recent piece. I created this today while visiting my sister. Sis & I enjoy parallel play.
I believe in the POWER of PARALLEL PLAY. Sis and I just enjoy hanging out. We bothMAY have a touch of A.D.D. {UN-diagnosed!) Scratch that...we both have a higher than average CREATIVITY gene that MAY look a lot like A.D.D.
For some reason, my creativity gene manifests itself witha little disorganization and inability to paint precise lines.
Anyway, I like to paint while Sis does other things. We both sit on her couch doing our own thing and ask each other foradvice compliments feedback from time to time.
Because I'm new at this whole painting thing and this is only my second attempt to paint without an instructor...I documented my steps. In case it's not immediately obvious, this is a painting of Pike Place Market in Seattle. If you get the chance to go to Seattle, Pike Place is not to be missed. The flowers are amazing!

I have undiagnosed ADD, but I don't doubt for one second I have it! lol This is a great tutorial btw, I'll have to try this!

ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by. :) I'm delighted to link up to your link party.
DeleteI LOVE this! Great work! Have you thought of hooking up with PaintPartyFriday? It's a blog for artists - pro and amateur. Very supportive group!
ReplyDeleteCheers! Keep on painting!!
Thank you for the compliment. I'm such a novice. But I'm enjoying the process. Thanks for the info on PaintPartyFriday. I'd not heard of it before. Just checked it out. Too cool.
DeleteI'm totally jealous of your picture. I've got lots of creativity, but not an ounce of skill when a paintbrush is involved! LOL Keep at it!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I'm a true novice. The thing that makes me brave to try to paint is that I know if I hate it I can paint the entire canvas white and use it again. (Just like Monet. :))
DeletePainting is so much fun...I really need to get back into it! Stopping by from the Networking Blog Hop…I would love if you would come say hello :)

DeleteSo fun! I can't paint to save my life (except for solid color on blank walls--heehee). Thanks for sharing at the party!

Thank you. :) I lived in the Seattle area for 7 years. Just moved back to my "home town" two years ago. I'm from the SE, so living in the NW was such a fun experience. We must dish. :)

ReplyDeleteThx for the compliment on the painting. I'm delighted to share on Toot Your Horn. Painting is a completely new hobby for me. My first attempt at painting on canvas was last year. Also, Seattle is a must see. I recommend anytime in the summer.
