Less Than a Week Until T-Day!!

I'm surprised about how excited I'm getting about Thanksgiving this year.

Maybe it's because it's also my girl's birthday? This year it really is on Thanksgiving. How cool is that?

We are having the big meal at my house again. Maggiano's will be doing the cooking again. My Mamacita is bringing green bean casserole and I think Sissy is bringing deviled eggs. (We talked about it but now I don't remember what we said.) Just planning the family gathering has gotten me into a feel-good holiday mood.

Sunday after Thanksgiving

It's Sunday after the big holiday and I'm chillin' right here on the couch. Hubby made cinnamon rolls and hot tea (with milk!) which was heaven. It was nice to have something warm from the oven.

Thanksgiving was a great success at my house. I will post about this fun day soon. It sounds like everyone else had a good day too. Good food, great friends and family visiting and even some good football.

Black Friday was a non-event for me. I don't really enjoy shopping, and really don't like shopping in crowds. I haven't purchased any gifts yet. I have time. {Right?}

Speaking of Christmas shopping...I know there's a lot of talk about if starting Black Friday on Thanksgiving is "wrong". Some find it to be offensive that Retail continues to push the Christmas season earlier each year. Because I don't shop on Black Friday, I can't really offer an opinion.

Thanksgiving Feast and Fotos

See what I did there in the title? A little alliteration. This year the Thanksgiving festivities were at my daughter's house. She had the turkey and the ham with all the fixins'! And it was way yummy.

In my last post, I shared some of my blessings that I'm thankful for. In this post, I'll share some photos to go along with them. Oh, and I totally forgot to say HAPPY THANKSGIVING on my last post! I hope all had a great time with family and loved ones. And, as Ellen DeGeneres tweeted the other day, hopefully, a few of those people overlap.

And, last but not least (or maybe least):  Check out those slippers!

The bottom of each shoe says something different.  One says "Very" and the other one says "Merry".

I think someone is getting into the Holiday Spirit!
